💰 Belleville Police Board Insists 15% Budget Hike Critical for Officer Safety
Belleville's police board approved a $33.5 million budget for 2026 despite council's five per cent target. The 15 per cent increase would add 3.5 per cent to property taxes while hiring eight new officers. Here's some good news worth celebrating. The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation just received a $600,000 grant from RBC's Community Infrastructure Fund for solar panels on the new hospital.
