♻️ Curbside Giveaway Days return May 3–4
Belleville and Quinte West will host their annual spring curbside giveaway Days the weekend of May 3–4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It's your chance to leave out gently used items and pick up something new-to-you — for free.

🚧 Hastings breaks ground on 32 new affordable units
A new 32-unit apartment building is coming to South Street in Trenton — and it’s designed for families and seniors on Hastings County’s housing waitlist. The $14M project is expected to be finished in late 2026 and will beat Ontario’s energy code by 20%.

☕ Goodbye, Brake Room — and Thanks for the Ride
After nine years of bikes, beans, and community, The Brake Room is sadly closed. According to a goodbye letter from the owners, Adam and Laura, the decision wasn’t easy. Coffee service ended last week as they shift gears toward a new mobile bike repair service across the region. They also hinted that the cafe could still live on, if the right person steps in.

Floor Trader is coming soon to Belleville at 113 Station Street offering hardwood, tile, vinyl, and laminate — plus install services once doors open. No official launch date yet, but it looks like Belleville’s about to get a fresh new option underfoot.
