Itās everyoneās favourite news - speed cameras. Bellevilleās automated speed enforcement cameras will be relocated to new locations the week of January 6th to enhance road safety and reduce speeding in high-risk areas. Canada Child Benefit Date
Parents, get ready for a holiday bonus. The Canada Child Benefit (CCB) payment for December 2024 is set for December 13. Families can receive up to $648.91 per month per child. Due to the Canada Post strike, itās recommended to switch to direct deposit to avoid delays. Register online or call 1-800-959-8281.

Looks like Canadians were just as invested in global events as local ones this year. Top news searches included the Euros, U.S. elections, and Copa AmĆ©rica. Funny searches like āHow to make poutineā and āWhy is my cat so weird?ā stood out. Kate Middleton was the most-searched person, while Pixarās Inside Out 2 topped movie searches. The Klevr Super League and The Eastern Ontario Young Kings
If you were around a restaurant, sports bar, hotel, or rink in Belleville this past weekend you probably noticed some new, different jerseys and logos on some of the young athletes. One of those being that of the Eastern Ontario Young Kings. Thatās because the Klevr Super League had itās Belleville Bash showcase tournament, to which the home team (the Young Kings) boasted a 4-0-1 record. Klevr, an elite level youth hockey program, is a new face to youth hockey, and they take the approach a little bit differently than your traditional OMHA teams. Belleville
Due to the ongoing postal strike, Property Tax Monthly Pre-Authorized Payment Change Notices will not be mailed in December. Payments will be adjusted starting January 2025, with new amounts based on 50% of the 2024 property taxes, divided into six installments. The County
The Glenora Ferry service disruptions have been rescheduled to December 16-17, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day for structural repairs under the Adolphustown ramp. The changes are due to weather conditions. More here.
Quinte West
Parking
From December 1 to March 31, no parking on roads or municipal lots between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. Violators will be fined a minimum of $75 and may be towed. Learn more at quintewest.ca/parking.
New Parking System
Quinte West approved a parking by-law, maintaining free parking in city lots and a two-hour limit downtown. A new parking software contract with Hotspot Parking Inc. began on July 2, 2024, costing up to $83,000 over five years. Multiple fine payment options are available. More here. InQuinte
Tourism
