Flaming dumpster or thrift find?

Local scoop, zero fluff

Presented By

Gooood morning everybody! ”That’s so fire” is a phrase that is said a way too often. So often, in fact that I read the below post and immediately thought that Value Village was having a sale of a life time.

Turns out they weren’t — it was actually a garbage compactor on fire. Crews contained it, and luckily nobody was hurt. Minus my ego.

PS - We’re hiring — want in? We’re on the hunt for a City Editor who knows what’s cool before it’s trending, and a Sales Exec who can sell ice to a Canadian. Think you’ve got the goods? Hit reply with your resume and tell us why you’re the one.

Foodie Friday

Submitted: Packs Deli

Foodie Friday is back, and this week, we’ve got some fresh deli gossip. One of our readers hit up the brand new Pack’s Deli in Belleville — they tried the smoked meat sanwich and said it’s straight outta Montreal.

I checked out Pack’s Deli today. Got the smoked meat sandwich and I’ve gotta say, it was so good. The meat was super tender, the mustard had just the right kick. It reminded me of the kind of deli sandwich you’d get in Montreal. Definitely going back, probably for the reuben next time.
