Trent-Severn Waterway, in the NY Times?

The New York Times (ever heard of them?) released it’s top places to go in 2025. There were standout names like Osaka (Japan), Sydney (Australia), and Milan (Italy) - oh ya and at #40 - The Trent Severn Waterway. That’s kind of a big deal. Yes, technically it’s more of an attraction for our neighbours over in Trent-Hills/Peterborough but it does touch down into the Bay of Quinte, so let’s take a little credit, why don’t we? Here’s an article about the Trent-Severn. Hope it helps some of you boaters and travelers make some plans this year! BlogTO

šŸŽžļø A MOMENT IN TIME

Victoria Harbour opened for skating this weekend after the city confirmed the ice was safe. We took our son for his first skate, and it reminded me of playing pond hockey with my Belleville Jr Bulls teammates as a kid—frozen toes, hot chocolate, and endless laughs. It got us wondering, what did skating on the harbour look like in the past? Take a look below!

One of a series of photographs of skaters taken at Victoria Harbour for the Ontario Intelligencer. The story appeared in the newspaper on 11 January 1965.
