Well today we are all very lucky, because Belleville’s very own Connie Carson (Owner of the FB page Sharing Belleville Memories with ~15,000 members) was a guest author for us. 🦌 A Safe Ride Home
Some like to indulge in a lil’ bit of eggnogg to get through the weekend with our in-laws (did I say that?), but let’s not drink and drive. We’re lucky to have Operation Red Nose to assist with that. The program runs from Nov. 29 to Dec. 31, providing free rides home from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. To use the service, call 613-962-4334 or visit rednosequinte.ca. The program is organized by the East Central YMCA, with proceeds benefiting the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. Visit the site here.

⚕️ Community Health Clinics
COVID, Cold, and Flu Care Clinics are available throughout the region. Open to all, these clinics require advance booking and no walk-ins are allowed. Bring your Health Card and a list of current medications. In Belleville, the clinic is open on Mondays and Fridays from 5 pm to 8 pm. The Picton clinic is available on Thursdays from 5 pm to 8 pm, while the Trenton clinic operates on Sundays from 9 am to 12 pm. For booking and updates, visit the HPE OHT website.

🏫 Easthill Elementary Opens Today
Easthill Elementary School in Belleville will celebrate its grand opening today. The event will feature music from the school’s band and choir, and speeches from local dignitaries, including the Director of Education and Chief of the Mohawks, R. Don Maracle. The school, which opened to students on September 4, is an amalgamation of Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria schools. More here.

❤️ CDC Quinte Receives Major Donation to Combat Food Insecurity
The CDC Community Development Council of Quinte has received a fantastic boost with a generous donation of $40,638 from Hydro One and the Alva Foundation. This incredible support will enhance programs like the Good Food Box, the Good Baby Box, and Community Gardens. More here.

🏛️Public Info Meeting for Wesley Acres Road Development
A public information meeting for the development proposal at 565 Wesley Acres Road will be held at Highline Hall, Wellington and District Community Centre, on Wednesday, November 27 at 6 pm.
