Christmas Angels

The Christmas Angel Campaign is a cherished tradition in the Belleville community, organized by the Belleville General Hospital Foundation (BGHF). This campaign allows donors to honor their loved ones by purchasing angel ornaments, which are then displayed on holiday installations at the Quinte Mall. Each angel represents a heartfelt tribute and a generous contribution to the hospital.

How to Donate

  • Online: Visit BGHF's Christmas Angel page.

  • By Phone: Call 613-969-7400 ext. 2061.

  • In Person: Visit the BGH Foundation office at Belleville General Hospital. There is also a secure after-hours mailbox for donations.

The funds raised through the Christmas Angel Campaign are vital for the hospital. They are used to purchase essential medical equipment and support patient care initiatives. This year, donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by the Maurice and Marilyn Rollins Foundation, effectively doubling the impact of each contribution.

Payments

Seniors can expect their December 2024 Old Age Security (OAS) payments to arrive earlier than usual, hitting bank accounts this week. This early payment is a holiday treat to help cover seasonal expenses. Find out everything on you need to know about OAS here.

Canada Pension Plan (CPP) payments for December 2024 will be issued earlier than usual, arriving on December 20th.

I saw a LOT of these at porchfest so - attention Bay of Quinte “coffee” lovers! Health Canada has recalled several Stanley mugs due to a burn hazard. Affected models sold between May 2016 and December 2024 have lids that can shrink and pop off. Stop using them and contact Stanley for a free replacement lid.
