Local Sports

🏈Chargers Run the BoQ Football Table

Local football was exciting last week, with some close games and some big wins. The Jr. Chargers defeated the Bayside Red Devils with a score of 42-7 on Saturday. The Sr. Chargers also won against the Bayside Red Devils in overtime, 14-7. These victories crowned the Chargers the BoQ champions. Now, they look forward to securing just a few more wins at the Jr. and Sr. COSSA tournaments. The Jr. COSSA tourney will take place at Centennial Secondary School today, giving the Chargers a home field advantage. The Sr. COSSA will be held in Peterborough on Friday, November 8th. More details to come.

🏒 Silver Stick Champs!

The Boyer Kia U14AA Belleville Bulls just can’t stop winning. First, the Belleville Pre-Season Tilt Tournament in September, and now they came home winners again this past Sunday after landing their second consecutive tournament championship. Out of the 8 teams trying to win the Regional International Silver Stick Tournament our Local Belleville Bulls crushed the competition. This win means more than just a new banner and title, but also a chance at the International Silver Stick Finals being held in Newmarket this coming January. Awesome win, congratulations to a great team and great coaching staff.
