Belleville just scored a big win in the fight for better mental health care. Dr. Katherine McArthur is officially joining Quinte Health, thanks to the City of Bellevilleās Doctor Recruitment Program.
āDr. McArthur brings a valuable set of skills with her that will help make Belleville a better place for many of our residents and their families,ā
With one in five adults experiencing mental illness, her arrival couldnāt come at a better time. Dr. McArthur, known for her compassionate approach, will support Quinte Healthās mental health team. Responding to a critical shortage, The City of Belleville has implemented one of the most successful physician recruitment programs in the province, attracting more than 50 physicians and eight nurse practitioners.š Read more here. Prince Edward Community Care for Seniors is seeking volunteers to assist with Reception duties. Time commitment is 3 hours/week. Duties include answering phone, directing calls, and general office duties. Orientation is provided and staff support is readily available.
St. Leonard's Community Support, Prevention, and Residential Services is seeking board members to assist with governance of the organization. Experience with Finance/Accounting, Governance, Communication/PR, and/or Human Resources would be an asset to the existing Board of Directors.

A public open house is set for Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Trent Port Marina (4-7 p.m.), inviting residents to share feedback on Quinte Westās draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
