Packās Deli sets opening date
The wait is overāPackās Deli officially opens in Belleville on Friday, March 21 at 11 AM. Expect stacked sandwiches, great vibes, and giveaways to celebrate the launch. Whoās hungry? (Packās Deli)
Dukes arenāt going anywhere
Despite rumors, Wellington Dukes owner Ken Clement says the team isnāt for sale. While junior hockey has its challenges, heās in it for the long haul and plans to work with Prince Edward County to keep the team thriving. Summer camps? Still on. (Quinte News)
BGH Gift Boutique reopens
After closing in 2020, the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary Gift Boutique is back in a new location inside the hospitalās main entrance. The shop, run by volunteers, raises funds for hospital equipment and patient care. Mayor Neil Ellis and hospital leaders celebrated its return, calling it a symbol of community spirit. (Quinte News)
New senior apartments on the way
Construction is underway on Epworth Place, an 84-unit senior apartment building in Bellevilleās west end. Over half the units will be affordable housing, with rents set at 80% of market rates. Demand is highāthereās already a 500-person waitlist. Expected completion? Summer 2026. (Quinte News)
Jan JenĆk named AHL Player of the Week
Belleville Senators forward Jan JenĆk earned AHL Player of the Week honors after racking up eight points in two games. The 24-year-old set a franchise record-tying five assists on March 14 and followed up with a game-winner and two assists the next night. He now has 23 points in 38 games this season. (Yahoo Sports)
Bridge Hub opening delayed until fall
Renovations at Bellevilleās Bridge Integrated Care Hub have hit unexpected hurdles, pushing the first phase of opening to fall 2025. In the meantime, services will temporarily move to 125 Church Street South, starting April 1 at 11 a.m., offering food assistance, health care, and counselling. (Quinte News)

The Trenton Military Family Resource Centre has swapped its annual gala for the Little Hands, Strong Hearts 50/50 Raffle. Proceeds support local military families, and one lucky winner takes home half the pot. Tickets are available until April 25, with the draw on April 28 for Teal Up Day. (InQuinte)

In Partnership With Volunteer In Quinte
Alzheimer's Society of Hastings-Prince Edward is seeking volunteers to assist with planning, organizing, and executing their Walk for Alzheimer's on May 24 & 25, 2025. Volunteers are welcome to assist on the Community Volunteer Committee, or just on the day of the event.
Quinte Health is seeking volunteers for various positions across their Picton, Belleville, Trenton, and North Hastings locations. Positions include assisting with fundraising; offering support to incoming patients with directions or answering general questions; and working in various retail positions.
Meta Employment Services is actively seeking diverse and passionate members for their Board of Directors. Ideal candidates will have experience in nonprofit/charity governance, strategic planning, risk management, finance/accounting, human resources, communications, IT, or knowledge of the industry.
